family
Photography can be used for all sorts of different things. One thing that photography can be used for is composition. It can be used for composition because photography says so much to people. When one person looks at a picture they may think it says something completely opposite of what another person might think it is saying to them. This is because it is such a broad spectrum that it can say a lot of things without saying anything at all. I have a family picture of myself, my parents,and my 2 brothers. It is just a simple family portrait nothing too special. It was taken awhile ago when we were all younger. When I look at it I think about how close we were then and how much closer we have all become. It makes me realize that my family is very fortunate to have eachother and to be able to continue being close and strong with eachother.

ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great photo. I wonder, is the portrait casual or was it taken at a photo studio? It's interesting to me that so many of us have photos with our family where everyone is dressed up and sort of staged by a photographer. The photos are at once personal and also part of a larger, societal way to "perform" our family connections.
