scrapbooks

In my scrapbook I will show my identity through slides. I might use microsoft power point. I'm not sure yet. I will show my past, present, and future through each slide or page. My past might show playing cops and robbers that I always wanted to be the cop and catch the bad guy. And my present might show what I am majoring in and my goals for my future. Then my future slide might show what I am wanting and planning on doing with the rest of my life. My identity I guess would be that I didn't always know I wanted to go into law enforcement but I realize it now that I did then and still do now. That could be my argument.

  1. Matt-
I like that you are thinking of past, present and future, but keep in mind that the assignment calls for the performance of a single, unified identity. Four pages/screens/units are not very many to build an argument about one slice of your "self" - let alone the intersection of your many "selves."
Is there a way you could focus in on one aspect of your identity - you as student, you as cook, you as athlete, etc. Check out the samples previous students have done to get an idea of how to narrow your focus.
Continue to think about ways you can visually represent the progression of one of your identities in this final piece.

  2. I love great presentations that include the past, present, and future, mainly because we can get a great look at what you have been focusing on and such. To see where life has brought you from and is taking you is a great thing, and the ability to show it is in itself, fun!

    Good Luck

  3. I like the progression from playing cops and robbers to wanting to be in law enforcement. It could be cool to talk about how your mentality changed from your childhood to the present to translate a game into reality.
